Ayurveda means life knowledge and is a medical health system from India dating more than 5000 years back. Initially it was on oral tradition that they began writing down about 3500 years ago, and it has been continuously practiced since then. Ayurveda is today recognized as a medical system in India and applied in hospitals alongside with western medicine. Ayurveda can be defined as a tool that helps us to regain our innate balance and teach us how to affect, prolong and take control over our lives. Through this we can free ourselves from diseases and aging ailments. According to Ayurveda it is equally important to care for our mental and spiritual health as it is to pay attention to lifestyle, diet and physical activity. Ayurveda sees health as a natural condition, a state that nature always seeks to achieve.
Ayurveda has three basic goals:
– Cure diseases
– Prevent diseases and imbalances
– Develop perfect health
An Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant applies Ayurveda as a tool to promote health and to prevent and correct imbalances on a physical and spiritual level by giving adequate advice on food and lifestyle. This training does not aim to learn how to diagnose and cure diseases. A long Ayurvedic doctor training is needed for doing that.
This training aims to teach you about the history and philosophy behind Ayurveda as well as giving you knowledge on diagnostics, such as pulse and tongue diagnosis, Ayurvedic diet and nutrition, Herbology, Stress management techniques and Ayurvedic therapies.
It is with great joy we introduce our teacher Dr Sangeeta Balaprakash, who is an Ayurvedic doctor

She is specialized in gastrointestinal problems, insomnia, stress management, women diseases, health after pregnangcy and children’s health.
