Learning all the key actions and alignment of our most common asanas, to be able to build a safe and life long practice. Including external poses such as Virabhadrasana 2 and Trikonasana and neutral poses such as Parsvottanasana and Prasarita Padottanasana.
In this workshop we will break down the most common standing postures, which are a great foundation for your overall asana practice. Standing poses also have a grounding effect on your mind. There is no right or wrong way to do poses, it will look different for every person but there is a way to do them with steadiness and ease, without pain and with a smooth breath. When you get more familiar with the standing poses and their purpose, the rest of your practice will unfold much easier.
Using props, walls and partner work we will play and explore together.
You can be a beginner, long term practitioner or teacher.
Martina has been practicing yoga for 13 years and teaching for six. She has a big passion for asanas and alignment and the healing effects of the yoga practice.
Martinas way of teaching is simple but precise as she is inspired by both Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga. She did her RYT 500 training with Yogaworks and studies continuously with different teachers to stay inspired. She is also part of the Yogayama teacher training team.
