An evening of awareness and connection
What makes yoga happen and how can we take care of ourselves and our time spent in practice? This event will highlight the necessary details for the potential of yoga, as a method, to flourish. How do we take on the poses in our bodies without harming or damaging ourselves? How can we use the support of the breath to stay focused on the present moment as we discover all that is there with a completely open heart?
You will experience in your own body why pranayama is considered to be such a great method for spiritual growth. Classical Hatha Yoga in particular has over thousands of years gradually increased the understanding of the importance of the breath. This knowledge has been developed, through generations of practitioners, but also more recently through scientific studies. The breath is one of the key pathways towards increased awareness in practice and in life.
The asana classes are theme based: Each class will focus on different groups of yoga asanas that involve different parts of the body. Using the blueprint poses, we will concentrate on proper alignment and building a pose from the foundation up. To help you understand how to move towards posture you thought was out of your reach.You will gain a better understanding of how poses can be linked with each other and how to build up a safe lifetime practice.
