Josefine found yoga at a Gym in Stockholm. The yoga practice became a great counterweight to the daily stress. Josefine’s yoga teacher saw her dedication and recommended a Teacher Training out of cost, at Yoga Makes. In return Josefine started to share yoga for the first time, in 2013, to friends and family.
Josefine wanted to learn more about yoga and did Yoga Yama’s teacher training in 2014. After the teacher training, she understood that she still had only scratched on the surface of the huge system of yoga, so she wanted to continue her studies.
Josefine stayed at Yoga Yama’s teacher training as a mentor, and, she continued to study for Caroline Westling and Ratheesh Mani at Yoga Makes. In 2017, she also did an extensive teacher training at American Yoga School, with James Brown.
Today she shares yoga a few times a week, in parallel with her job of project managemnt, in the financial sector.
“I grew up with different sports, whose exercise later became different gym classes. Hence, I felt safe in the gym environment where I first started to practice yoga. At that time, I could never imagine myself at a yoga studio as it would be too alternative. Today, I’m so grateful for everything that yoga has given me; new perspectives from which I now see and experience the world. In addition, I really enjoy my practice of Asana, PranaYama, Meditation and Chanting. Nor do I think I’ll ever get enough of studding the beautiful system of yoga. I’m really fascinated about the relevance of the old texts and that they still have so much to teach us modern people.
Hence, I’m very humble and feel very privileged for my opportunities to share yoga.”
My path into the practice of yoga began 2014 with the sole aim to get physically strong and flexible. Even the first time I was at Josefine yoga class, I experienced a deeper internal feeling of awareness of my body. In class I felt like I was taken on a journey through physical and mental bliss and I was hooked.
The Yoga classes start in a relaxed manner through her guidance, for finding the breathing through different exercises. She guides us in building awareness of proper form and breathing in every poses.
Her classes strike an amazing balance between relaxation and a physical challenge. In every lesson, at every yoga pose it is a great adventure to discover different muscles in my body, which I have never known I had them.
Josefine has a very patient and supportive teaching style. Her instructions are clear and you are made aware of what each postures offers for your body.
She always reminds us to “listen to the body.” And learn to do moves without putting too much pressure on it. To challenge yourself a little to achieve the correct posture, but always taking care to remind all not to injure yourself. She gives her students confidence to do just that!
I always look forward to my yoga session as both the physical and meditative aspects of her yoga that make me to stop thinking about the stresses of everyday life and it helps relax and rejuvenate my body and mind.
I highly recommend her class for anyone whether you are new to yoga or looking to develop your practice.
She is fantastic Yoga teacher, I respect her wholeheartedly.

Jag har gått på Josefines yogaklasser på Balance i ca ett år. Det jag uppskattar med Josefine är att hon är väldigt tydlig, pedagogisk och bygger upp positionerna från grunden. Med enkla och visuella förklaringar justerar hon och förbättrar deltagarnas positioner. Jag upplever att jag utvecklas och blir en bättre yogis på hennes klasser. Hon är mån om att positionerna utförs på ett säkert sätt, vilket är viktigt då det ofta är nybörjare på klasserna. Alla kan följa med i övningarna. Josefine är en inspirerande lärare som har ett mjukt och lätt sätt att leda klasserna på.
