Victoria Veres is a hatha and vinyasa teacher teaching mainly in Stockholm and also in the South of France.
She has a strong focus on and interest in alignment and anatomy and has also developed special yoga programs and workshops for tennis players.
Since her first hatha teacher training she has over the years continuously done advanced teacher trainings in Hatha, Liquid flow, Embodied flow and Forrest yoga.
”After years and years of ballet and lots of back problems I, very sceptically, entered my first yoga class over fifteen years ago. After that there was no turning back. It was the physical aspects of yoga that got me in the beginning, but as years went by I realized how much more there was to it.
I love discovering new styles as well as studying the more traditional aspects and I try to bring all the good stuff in to my teaching. I teach a strong but softening class with a lot of focus on anatomy and alignment. The body should feel good, both during and after class.
I have also realized what a great tool yoga can be for athletes and have over the last years developed special programs for competitive tennis players, juniors and anyone who wants to stay on court for along time. These programs focus on flexibility, stability, balance, breathing and focus, all common struggles for athletes and some of the great takeaways from yoga, not only for sports but for anyone in everyday life.
Over the years I have very much enjoyed studying with teachers such as Tara Judelle, Ally Bogard and Noah Mazé. I study continuosly with my teacher Simon Park, whose teacher trainings in Liquid flow yoga I assist around Europe.
Off the mat I am a journalist and economist lecturing and writing about development economics, mainly poverty issues, sustainability and the new UN global goals.”
