The Beginners’ Yoga Course at Yogayama is created with the complete beginner in mind, so no previous experience in yoga is necessary. Yoga is not about touching your toes, nailing the perfect handstand, or only for the young and flexible, it is a simple process of uniting with yourself – using the breath, body, and the mind.
Over 8 classes, this course introduces the fundamentals of yoga with an explanation of the postures, breathing techniques, introduction to meditation, and the philosophical aspects of yoga.
Classes are conducted at a more relaxed pace where students are encouraged to ask questions. Explore what yoga means – both on and off the mat – as you begin and cultivate your own practice during this introductory course.
