The Yogayama school is a place where interested yogis are given a possibility to work with their own development.
Yogayama started in Stockholm in 2004 and was Scandinavia’s first yoga center. Through the years, Yogayama has built up a renowned yoga center with a wide variety and a large number of classes with well educated teachers and guest teachers/speakers from all over the world. In 2012, Yogayama released a 200h Yogayama Teacher Training and is today a solid international yoga teacher training with several hundred graduates. In 2014, Yogayama took the next step and became a Yoga Allance certified 500h Yogayama Teacher Training.
Yogayama is owned by Helena Ekström, Estelle Nordenfalk and Yogayama Partner Sweden which is a company own by our members, staff and other supporters of what we do.
We want to sow the seeds of a yogic lifestyle. These seeds will likely grow differently in each of us. Whichever way your seeds grow, we hope you find your center, your innermost essence and allow a little more space for it in your everyday life.
We believe in bringing holistic health practices as true to their original Essence as possible. We invest heavily in selecting experienced... teachers who have trained directly at the lineages’ sources to ensure that the essence and philosophy of those teachings are as pure and unaltered as possible. We also support our teachers to receive ongoing training in order to ensure the quality of our teachings. We believe in bringing in teachers who embody the essence of yoga. Our teachers are humble, strong, and committed to supporting students in their development towards deepening in their authenticity.

Natural generosity is to be in service of others and to give for the joy of giving. We believe that we are all generous in our nature and as much as we need to go within, we also need to reach out. Therefore we have established a yoga center for people to come together to enrich one another and to discover new possibilities in creating a more conscious world.
